Roger Nkodo Dang and Martin Schulz met with Jean-Louis Borloo at the European Parliament in Brussels. During the meeting, Roger Nkodo Dang recalled the unanimous will of the PAP to create an intergovernmental entity dedicated to electrification (vote of the PAP October 7, 2015) and stressed the will to collaborate in the implementation of an action plan "Europe - Africa".
The 4th edition of the International African Development Forum (FIAD) held on 25 and 26 February in Casablanca (Morocco) on "Agriculture and electrification : mobilize energies." Organized by Attijariwafa Bank and Morocco-Export group, the forum is a platform for meetings and exchanges to promote and develop investment on the continent.
Following this meeting, Jean- Louis Borloo gave a lacture at the conference #Invest4future, about" COP21, what's next?", to discuss the progress of the electrification of Africa later shot to COP21.
Borloo participates in World Economic Forum held from 20 to 23 January in Davos (Switzerland). This 46th edition deals with "Mastering the fourth industrial revolution." On this occasion, Jean- Louis Borloo met with Heads of State and Governments of Africa , such as the first Ivorian Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan, and attended the presentation of the "New Energy Deal" of the African Development Bank.

President Alpha Conde, President of Guinea, has been designed as Coordinator of Energy in Africa, January 30, 2016 during the 26th ordinary session of the African Union. The Paris Agreement (Accord de Paris), adopted at the end of COP21 integrates "electricity for all" as a universal right. The Agreement agrees that : " Considering the need to promote universal access to sustainable energy in developing countries, especially in Africa, by reinforcing the deployment of renewable energy." The inclusion of this paragraph is a step for the deployment of the plan "Electricity and Light for All".
Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Jean-Louis Borloo attended the graduation ceremony of the IDRAC Business School Paris. During a speech, Jean-Louis Borloo congratulated the students and thanked them for their support to Energies for Africa. The graduation ceremony also marked the 50th anniversary of the school of which Jean-Louis Borloo is the sponsor of the promotion 2015.
On the sidelines of the COP21, held the summit "Climate Defi and African solutions" chaired by President Francois Hollande and the United General secretary Ban Ki-moon. Around 12 African heads of state, the President of the African Union Commission and representatives of international institutions, President Francois Hollande pledged to raise 2 billion euros to finance projects of renewable energies in Africa over the period 2016-2020.
Jean-Louis Borloo spoke before the Commission of Development of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, five days after the presentation of the plan "Light and Electricity for All" before Parliamentarians. This intervention is in preparation for COP21 during which an agreement for the electrification of Africa is expected, with the support of the European Parliament.
Jean-Louis Borloo went to meet parliamentarians of the Eureopean Parliament in Strasbourg, to present Energies for Africa Initiative. On the program : working lunch in presence of parliamentarians members of comissions - energies, relations with Africa, Environment, Foreign Affairs - interview with Rainer Wieland, Vice-President of the European Parliament and a press conference.
Sunday, November 22, Jean-Louis Borloo visited Algiers, capital of Algeria, to meet Mr Abdelwahab Nouri, Minister of Water Resources and Environment and Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both interviews were followed by a press conference, during which Jean-Louis Borloo discussed the crucial role of Algeria in the electrification project of the continent, in terms of energy potential, expertise and growth of the country.
Friday, November 13, Jean-Louis Borloo, met with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon at UN headquarters in New York. Jean-Louis Borloo presented the plan "Electricity and Light for All" in particular for the COP21 and the meeting was followed by a press conference.
